{HALTER ROMPERS} Patterning for the Long Torso

Women with long torsos are not likely to fit in rompers, until now. Photographer Danielle Burren jumps on the other side of the camera to help Madam Chino test new patterns for active use.

EMPIRE ROMPERS // a variation on Madam Chino "Empire Maxi Dresses" the same technique using T-Shirt Sleeves as the drawstring bust, we've connected a pair of elastic gathered, darted, tapered, side pocket woven pants with very deep crotch length a comforting fit. Empire waist serves as a bra band for added support.

HALTER PANT ROMPERS // this design is made completely from vintage or preloved woven or knit fabric, with a natural waist cross over halter top also connected to an elastic gathered natural waist pocketed, darted, tapered pant. Pants gather more toward the back to create slightly more bloused rear, eliminating the need for a zipper. Shown styled with bandeaux top for bra-wear.

While these rompers are not available on the web, a T-shirt version of our shorts romper will be available in our upcoming summer update, TBA. Madam Chino creates new garments from pre-loved T-shirts online, while in person, we use unique found fabrics with our usual patterns to create one-of-a-kind sample pieces.
