Madam Chino has been creating practical and utilitarian menswear for over 10 years using rescued vintage fabrics combined with up-cycled vintage flannels and sweatshirts. The work employs new uses for everyday throw-away objects such as linings made of cast-away snuggies, revived argyle socks for pockets and wrist cuffs, hoody drawstrings made of shoe-strings, as well as hand-made buttons drilled and varnished of re-purposed closet poles (view the blog post
here).
Madam Chino's Spring Men's Collection was showcased at the UWM Union Concourse in Milwaukee Wisconsin on Earth Day Monday April 22nd at High Noon. The work will be available online at www.madamchino.etsy.com by the end of May.
